Change in venue for rehearsal dinner

Due to problems with the Oar House, the rehearsal dinner will now be at the Nicklaus Golf Club.  In the next few days we will be calling people to let them know of the change.

Send in those RSVP’s

The requested date for RSVP’s was today, August 9th, 2006.  If you haven’t sent in your RSVP please do so now!  Thank you.  We’ll see you in exactly one month!

We can get married now

Yesterday we went to get our marriage license.  On the way out the door I had Emily grab her checkbook just in case they didn’t take plastic.  We were in luck, they took cash only!  Between the two of us we had less than a homeless person after 15 minutes of panhandling, zero dollars.  We had to hop in the car and go “right next door” as the person in the fulton county office told us.  Turns out “right next door” was about half a mile in the opposite direction we turned.  Our adventure turned into about 20 minutes of driving and we finally arrived back to pay our fees and get the license.  I suggested we skip the formalities and go ahead and stop by the judges chamber on our way out the door but Emily didn’t buy it.  See you in less than 5 weeks for the real deal!

Boxes, Boxes, and Boxes

I really do hate moving. Two weekends ago I moved in with Emily and we’re still unpacking things. The move from my condo went pretty well. There are a few items left at my place along with my living room furniture which we are not yet bringing over (they are leather and don’t exactly mix with a cat and dog with claws/nails).  The same weekend of the move, I finally had to unload my Jeep from the Ultra O-gaine so that we could drive it over to our wedding shower.  Good thing I did because the entire Jeep was pretty much filled with gifts.  A BIG thank you to everyone for coming and for the wonderful gifts we received.  A HUGE thank you to Kathryn and Garrett for hosting the shower at their home.  The shower wasn’t as girlie as I thought it would be!
