And it sounds like in the end you were infact protected. You wouldve got your item back and, despite going through all the hassle you went through (which I can imagine would be very stressful) you eventually got paid. The guy you dealt with sounds like a opportunistic moron. Possibly selfish and evil. However I can't imagine Ebay and Paypal acting much better than they did... Although you did make a valid point about not being able to email them text. That would be frustrating. I’ve never had a problem wih Ebay. And it sounds like in the end you were infact protected.
